The AES Consulting Group provides free statistical consulting for research by students and faculty of Iowa State University. Priority is given to clients from Agriculture and Biology, but help is available to researchers from other academic areas when time permits.

• Drop-in hours: Monday-Friday 2-4 pm in 2205 Snedecor Hall

Assistance Provided:

• Choice of research design and sample size
• Advice on statistical analysis
• Use of statistical software (SAS, R, some JMP)

Notes:

• If you use SPSS, GraphPad PRISM, or another less common statistical package, we are happy to discuss your study design and appropriate analysis methods, but you are responsible for the coding.
• We prefer to help you analyze your data. We will rarely analyze data for you. We will write SAS or R code for you.
• We can not teach you introductory statistics. We expect you to have taken Stat 401 or equivalent.
• For help with statistics homework , students should consult their TA or professor, not AES.
