ABSTRACT
Increasingly, statisticians and reliability engineers in industry are being asked to analyze reliability data. Because of the complicated nature of the data and models that are often encountered with reliability data, statistical methods and corresponding software needed for appropriate analyses are less well developed when compared, for example, to methods and software needed for the analysis of standard experimental designs. This paper describes the needs of practitioners and researchers in this area and describes a tool that is being developed to satisfy the important needs.
