I would like to discuss the types of data produced by genomic sequencing
and analysis projects and the opportunities and challenges of statistical
analysis of these data. I shall review in some detail problems currently
worked on in my group, including logitlinear models for splice site
prediction, stochastic algorithms for gene finding, and analysis of HIV
protease mutation data.
