TITLE: Analysis of Prognostic Factors in Patients
with Non-Metastatic Rhabdomyosarcoma Treated on Intergroup Rhabodomyosarcoma
Studies III and IV
ABSTRACT
The outcome for patients
with localized rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) or undifferentiated sarcoma (UDS) is
affected by age, histology, primary anatomic site, and extent of disease. We
evaluated prognostic factors for these patients using data from two recent
treatment protocols of the Intergroup Rhabdomyosarcoma Study Group
(IRSG).
We evaluated various patient and disease characteristics
for their ability to predict outcome for patients with non-metastatic RMS or UDS
treated on IRS-III (1984-91) or IRS-IV
(1991-1997).
