Bayesian Analysis through WinBUGs for Everyday Statistics Needs --- Part 2

Date: Friday, November 06
Time: 3:10 pm -- 4:00 pm
Place: 2113 Snedecor
Speaker: Ming Li, Department of Statistics, Iowa State University

Abstract:

Because of the high degree of interest and lively discussion last Friday afternoon, Ming got only half-way through his presentation. He will give the second half of his presentation in this Friday's session. Ming will get into some interesting advanced topics such has how to handle both left and right censoring in the same problem, fitting of models that are nonlinear in the parameters, and estimation of variance components using Winbugs (one recently-encountered application in nondestructive evaluation that Ming and I faced had all of these features).
