Title: Topology and analysis of SARS-CoV-2

Abstract: Topology and mathematical analysis played an important role in COVID-19 vaccines research. Through this talk, several topological aspects of the novel coronavirus (SARS-Cov-2) by the number of spikes and bonding with the cells in the host will be explained. From a discrete space of spikes and cells, and through functional mapping, bonding principles between cells and spikes are demonstrated. Inspired by Smale's 2-D horseshoe, a 3-D horseshoe example of our understanding of spike-cell bonding is developed. This talk is based on the joint work with Steven G Krantz.
