Title: Modeling road network time series using a hidden Markov random field

Description: NRCS would like to automate land use identification and change detection based on satellite imagery. We present preliminary results on road network extraction and change detection using a novel application of the hidden Markov random field. The methodology is readily applicable to other tubular, network-like structures such as vessels, neurons, and (water) channel networks.
