Title: Blessing and Challenges of Multiple Causes

Abstract: In this presentation, I will introduce a method called Deconfounder developed by Wang and Blei in 2019 for dealing with unobserved confounding problem in multiple causes causal inference. After this paper was published, there were some discussions about the theory and applications of this method. I will briefly introduce three main comment papers and discuss the blessings and challenges of multiple causes in causal inference.
