Title: Privacy Preserving Record Linkage

Abstract:  In this talk, I will introduce the problem of record linkage—matching observations from different surveys when identifying information is subject to error—and discuss how this problem can be solved even when the input data contains hashed values. The main focus of the talk will be about understanding the privacy preserving algorithms that allows one to use a distance function on encrypted data. I test some of the proposed methods and provide resources for further exploration of the topic.
