Title: Working in survey statistics at a government contractor

Abstract: Dr. Stephanie Zimmer has worked at government contractors – RTI International and Abt Associates since she left Iowa State in 2015. She works on projects with several US government agencies including the Bureau of Justice Statistics, Energy Information Administration, and CDC National Center for Health Statistics. In this talk, she will talk about what it is like to work at these organizations. She will give a highlight of some of the projects and problems she has worked on over the years. Finally, she’ll talk about a current problem she is working on in small-area estimation.
