Our Featured Speaker is Paul Roback. Paul Roback is a Professor of Statistics and Data Science and Chair of the Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science Department at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. At St. Olaf, Paul co-founded the Center for Interdisciplinary Research, where students collaborate on data-focused research projects with faculty from around campus; co-authored a textbook on generalized linear models and multilevel models for their Advanced Statistical Modeling course; and introduced multiple data science courses into their curriculum. Paul is the past Chair of the ASA Section on Statistics and Data Science Education, and he is currently part of the Test Development Committee for AP Statistics. Outside of his office, Paul can often be found on the tennis courts, hiking or biking, or agonizingly watching Minnesota sports teams.
