Title: Spatial Models with Functional Covariate Process
Abstract: We extend generalized functional linear models (GFLMs) to incorporate spatial dependence, which is a relatively new area of research.
Upon spatial dependence on response and functional covariates, we have four distinct scenarios. The first scenario, with no spatial dependence in either response or functional covariates, falls outside the core of our research interest. During this talk, we introduce new models corresponding to the remaining three scenarios and establishes their estimation and inference procedures. In particular, basis expansion and truncation methods are applied for dimension reduction to handle functional covariates. Model selection methods and assessments are also conducted to distinguish these models effectively. The models are further compared through simulation studies and applied to real data.
