2025 ISU-NISS Conference on AI and Statistics

Iowa State University will host the 2025 ISU-NISS Conference on AI and Statistics, bringing together researchers and professionals exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence and statistics.

 

The three-day conference will feature invited plenary sessions, a poster session, and a moderated conversation with Nate Silver on Friday evening that is free and open to the public. Presentation topics include causal reasoning, streaming data, sequential decision-making, geospatial AI, and applications of machine learning in forensic science and survey statistics.

 

Sponsors: Iowa State University Department of Statistics, National Institute of Statistical Sciences (NISS), and the Translational Artificial Intelligence Center.

 

Poster submissions are now open and due by August 15, 2025. Accepted presenters will be notified by August 22.

 

Travel & lodging

Conference hotel blocks are available at the Gateway Hotel and Best Western Plus University Park Inn & Suites, with a reservation deadline of August 21. Shuttle service will be provided between hotels and conference venues.

 

Attendees flying in can access Ames via Des Moines International Airport (DSM). Executive Express shuttle service and rental cars are available.
