Danyang Zhang Receives Summer 2025 Graduate Research Excellence Award

The Department of Statistics congratulates Ph.D. candidate Danyang Zhang on receiving a Summer 2025 Graduate Research Excellence (GREX) award.

Zhang’s research focuses on developing statistical and machine learning methods for interval prediction and animal health monitoring under complex data dependencies. Her work is supported by the C. R. Henderson Fund and multiple USDA grants, and she has published eight peer-reviewed articles. She has also earned the Holly and Beth Fryer Award, the Kempthorne Award, and the Graduate Teaching Excellence Award.

This award recognizes Zhang’s outstanding contributions to research and scholarship in the field of statistics.
