Department Supports Local Families Through YSS Giving Tree

The Department of Statistics came together this holiday season to support Youth and Shelter Services (YSS) Story County through the Giving Tree program, providing essential items and gifts for local families in need.

Ann Hawkins and Kathy Kiesling coordinated the collection effort, which resulted in purchases including winter clothing, household items, personal care products, and kitchen supplies. The generous response allowed organizers to purchase all requested items and provide two Fareway gift cards.

The donations will be distributed through YSS Story County, a nonprofit organization that provides shelter, counseling, and support services to youth and families facing crisis situations.
