Statistical Consulting Group's spring 2026 events

The Department of Statistics is offering multiple opportunities for graduate students to develop their statistical skills during spring 2026 through consulting services and introductory training.

The department's Statistical Consulting group is offering drop-in hours during Grad Mixer Wednesdays throughout the spring semester, providing graduate students across campus with convenient access to statistical expertise. The sessions will take place from 10 a.m. to noon in Student Innovation Center Room 4237 on select Wednesdays: January 28; February 4, 11, 18, and 25; March 4, 11, and 25; and April 1, 15, 22, and 29. Dates are subject to change. Graduate students from any field who need assistance with statistical aspects of their research are welcome to attend the drop-in sessions.

R You Ready? An Introduction to R for Beginners

For students looking to build foundational skills, Parks Library will host "R You Ready? An Introduction to R for Beginners" on February 19, 2026, from 1 to 3 p.m.
