The Department of Statistics congratulates Yuyang Li on receiving a Spring 2025 Graduate Research Excellence (GREX) Award! This prestigious recognition highlights her outstanding research accomplishments and academic excellence.
Yuyang’s achievements include winning the 2024 ASA Student Paper Award in the Risk Analysis session, the 2024 Vince Sposito Award for excellence in statistical computing, and the George W. Snedecor Award in 2022. She has already published three research papers, with another nearing submission and one more in preparation.
The GREX Award recognizes graduate students for exceptional research contributions as documented in their theses and dissertations. Recipients receive a letter of commendation from the Iowa State President, a certificate of achievement, an honor cord for commencement, and an official transcript notation.
