The Department of Statistics at Iowa State University welcomed Jennifer Daddysman as an assistant teaching professor in May 2026. Daddysman was drawn to the department’s emphasis on statistics education and its supportive environment.
She is interested in incorporating inquiry-based teaching methods, especially project-based learning into the classroom, helping students build deeper understanding through hands-on experience and real-world applications.
Daddysman brings a strong record of teaching excellence, having received two student-selected teaching awards during the COVID-19 pandemic, “Their appreciation felt particularly fulfilling in the midst of constant change.”
