Three Iowa State University statistics students attended the 2026 Connecticut Sports Analytics Symposium (CSAS), held April 10-11 at the University of Connecticut.
Undergraduate students Blake Behrens and Everett Hargrove and graduate student Rohit Kanrar attended the event and presented at the poster session.
Everett Hargrove received a student poster award for his work titled “Professional Disc Golf Player Ratings, Predictions, and Event Probability Estimation.”
Blake Behrens' poster was titled, "Team Ratings, Win Probabilities, and Margin-of-Victory Predictions for High School Football via Linear Models."
Rohit Kanrar's poster was titled, "Bayesian Semi-parametric Inference for Predicting Time Between Fouls for WNBA Players."
