Marina has a rich background in education and a passion for fostering student success. Having earned a Ph.D. in Education from Moscow State Pedagogic University in Moscow, Russia, she possesses a deep understanding of the intricacies of student learning and development. Her academic journey at Iowa State began in 2008 when she arrived on campus as a Fulbright Scholar. After completing her Fulbright term, Marina spent several years managing international student orientation and student programs at ISSO. She later moved to the College of Design where she served as Academic Advisor and focused on fostering meaningful relationships with diverse groups of students. Marina strives to cultivate an environment that embraces every student’s unique background to enhance the academic experience and success of all students.
