The Department of Statistics at Iowa State University has been chosen to host the 2025 United States Conference on Teaching Statistics (USCOTS). The 2025 USCOTS will be held on Thursday, July 17th-Saturday, July 19th with pre-conference workshops on Tuesday, July 15th-Thursday, July 17th. The conference theme is Useful Models for Effective Teaching.
USCOTS brings together teachers of statistics and data science to exchange ideas and discover how to improve their teaching. The conference features thought-provoking keynote presentations, interactive breakout sessions, informative posters-and-beyond sessions, and exhibitor technology demonstrations. Other highlights of the conference include opening and closing sessions comprised of inspiring five-minute talks, a banquet with an after-dinner speaker and awards, and birds-of-a-feather lunch discussions.
This conference is an opportunity available to all interested in teaching statistics, not just at the college-level. We trust that you will find USCOTS to provide a very welcoming, active, and fun environment. We hope that you will meet new colleagues and renew friendships with peers who are united by a common desire to teach statistics and data science effectively to the next generation of citizens and data professionals.
There are Licensure Renewal Credit opportunities for high school teachers in Iowa.
Up-to-date information will be posted on the CAUSE webpage.
